CJ LaBoy joined The•Team (formerly Wasserman) in 2018 and serves as the Senior Vice President of Football. LaBoy entered the player representation industry in 2004 and became an NFLPA Certified Contract Advisor in 2005. CJ quickly built a reputation as one of the top young agents in the NFL, earning recognition from Sporting News and Yahoo! Sports as one of the fastest rising agents in the NFL business.
LaBoy is directly involved in all aspects of client representation, specializing in talent evaluation, player development, draft-prep strategies and contract negotiations. In addition to his work with several players selected in the top-100 of the NFL Draft and dozens of first round selections, LaBoy, alongside long-time colleague Doug Hendrickson, has been directly responsible for negotiating several top-of-market deals which recently includes making Maxx Crosby the highest paid defensive player and non-quarterback in NFL history, Trey McBride the highest paid tight end in NFL history, and Alec Pierce the highest paid free agent wide receiver in NFL history when they signed their contracts. In addition to Maxx, Trey, and Alec, CJ represents players such as Colton McKivitz, Carson Schwesinger, Quentin Johnston, Rashee Rice, Jordan Morgan, Laiatu Latu, Taylor Rapp, Elijah Molden, Shaq Thompson, and Deshon Elliott.
While earning a degree in business, LaBoy played football at former Div 1AA St. Mary’s College and received All-Conference and All-American Honors. LaBoy also received his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor as part of their renowned Sport Management Master’s Program. LaBoy resides in San Rafael, CA with his wife, Melissa, and their three children.

A four-time Pro Bowler and one of the league’s most relentless pass rushers, Crosby has been a cornerstone of the Raiders’ defense since being drafted in 2019. In 2025, LaBoy negotiated a three-year extension that made Crosby the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, capping a run of three major contract negotiations with the Raiders in four years.
On March 9, 2026, LaBoy negotiated a four-year, $114 million extension for Pierce with the Indianapolis Colts — making him the highest-paid free-agent wide receiver in NFL history. The deal runs through the 2029 season and is worth up to $116 million with incentives.
In April 2025, LaBoy negotiated a four-year contract extension for McBride with the Arizona Cardinals that briefly made him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history, reflecting his emergence as one of the league’s premier receiving threats at the position.
Before representing NFL talent, LaBoy played football at Saint Mary’s College of California, a Division I-AA program, where he earned All-Conference and All-American honors.
LaBoy holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco and now serves as an adjunct professor in the school’s Sport Management Master’s program.
